The Latvian national airline airBaltic is offering a new solution in the market for mobile Internet services – prepaid access to the global web in 84 countries by using the airBalticcard Mobile prepaid mobile communications card. The cost of this GPRS-based service in all of the member states of the European Union is just LVL 0.27/100 Kbit. The service is being offered in tandem with the Telecom Discount company and with leading telecommunications companies all around the world.

The airBalticcard Mobile card works in 170 countries without any change in the number. Free incoming calls can be received in Russia, 19 European countries, and popular tourist destinations such as Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Cyprus. The cost of incoming calls in 40 other countries is symbolic – starting at LVL 0.05/min. A vast roaming market and a series of partners allow users of the airBalticcard Mobile card to enjoy particularly advantageous mobile communications tariffs all around the world, starting at LVL 0.22/min on outgoing calls. The airBalticcard Mobile number remains valid for two years after the last call, which means that the unspent portion of the sum can be reserved for the next time that the client travels.
You can purchase the airBalticcard Mobile package, as well as renewal cards, on board airBaltic planes, at the airline’s ticket offices, and on the Internet – www.airbalticcard.com. There you can also see statistics related to your calls and SMS messages, check how much money is left over, and send SMS messages for free. The airBalticcard Mobile card can be used with any GSM-based mobile phone that is not adapted for work in just one specific network.
