Riga. Latvian national airline airBaltic has appointed Michael Grimme for the post of Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Michael Grimme has extensive experience of more than 20 years in the travel and aviation industry. Before joining airBaltic, Michael Grimme was the Director of Sales and Marketing at TraviAustria Gmbh, an IT service provider for the travel industry in Central Europe. As a former Director of Sales and Marketing at the German airline dba Michael Grimme achieved a successful turnaround of the sales and marketing function, and contributed to strengthening of dba as a business airline. Michael Grimme has also served as the Director of Marketing and International Sales of the German carrier LTU, where he was responsible for relaunch of the brand, strengthening sales and loyalty programme. He has also held other sales-related posts in British Airways and Deutsche BA

Michael Grimme is a German national, aged 44, married and has a child.
